Hey there! Are you ready to make getting paid easier? 💸 Of course you are! In this tutorial, we'll walk through the steps to create and send invoices seamlessly using QuickBooks Online. Let's dive in!
Step One: Access the Invoice Creation Page
Click on the "New" button.
Under the "Customers" column, select "Invoice."
Step Two: Choose the Customer
Select "Add Customer" to choose the customer you're sending the invoice to.
Verify that all customer information is accurate before proceeding.
Step Three: Complete the Invoice Form
Fill in each field on the invoice form, including:
the invoice number
the due date
the invoice amount
Step Four: Apply a Custom Template (Optional)
If you've created a custom invoice template, you can apply it during this step to give your invoices a personalized touch.
Step Five: Send Your Invoice
Click "Send Now" and draft an email to your client if you prefer to send the invoice directly through QBO.
Pro Tip: You can currently switch between the old and new invoice layouts in QBO, but the older layout will eventually be going away. Consider switching to the new version now and acclimate yourself to it before you have to!
